Art Room Rules:
1. Safety 2. Hand Raised 3. Attitude 4. Respect 5. Keep on Task Paint Procedures (K-1st): 1. Keep table covers under projects. 2. Keep paint on your project. 3. Clean up all spills. 4. Stay in your seat Paint Procedures (2nd-5th): 1. Table covers must be under projects. 2. When switching paint colors please wash your brush. 3. To dry off your paint brush, wipe the brush on the top of the water cup. 4. Do not splash paint or water. 5. For horizontal areas use side to side paint strokes. For vertical areas use up and down paint strokes. 6. Please clean up all spills no matter how small. 7. When teacher says, "stop painting," stop painting immediately. |
Resource SHARK Rules:
Safety: Be safe around yourself and others Hand Raised: Raise your hand & wait for the teacher to call on you. Attitude: Have a good attitude (not “I can’t draw, “this is boring”) Respect: Respect others, respect teacher by raising your hand Keep on Task: Make sure you are following along with the lesson. SHARK rules, Incentives & Consequences: If student(s) break any or all of these rules they will not get their shark fin at the end of class. At the end of each nine-week period students who have 29 or more shark fins receive an incentive party (SHARK party). Those who did not will be given an alternative assignment. SHARK incentive End of Nine Weeks party There will be a new incentive program this year for students during their resource periods. Each time students follow all of the rules in their resource classes (physical education, music and art) they will earn a shark fin. Students have an opportunity to earn up to 34 shark fins every nine weeks. If they earn at least 30 shark fins they will attend the SHARK party which will be held during their resource period outside, at the end of each nine weeks. Those that do not earn 29 shark fins will do an alternate assignment in one of the resource rooms. Students who receive an office referral during their resource period will also not participate in the SHARK party. |
